17 skeletons discovered in the cellar of the house of the father of enrico macias in constantine in 2008
A few years ago the Algerian state wanted to demolish the old neighborhood where Enrico Macias lived in Constantine. After the demolition, the authorities discovered the skeletons of 17 men, probably Muslims killed by the family of Enrico Macias, terrorists of the OAS fiercely hateful towards Muslims! So it is quite possible that Enrico invited Muslims to his house, whom he poisoned with his father by serving them a coffee and then beat them and stored their bodies in their cellars!
Gaston Ghrenassia, is the son of Sylvain and Suzanne Zaouch, a jewish Algerian family of malouf musicians. His father was a violinist in the orchestra of Raymond Leyris dit Cheikh Raymond (the father-in-law of Macias, the latter having married in 1962 his daughter Suzy with whom he will have two children Jocya and Jean-Claude); He learns the guitar thanks to his cousin Jean-Pierre, but also with gypsy friends who give him the nickname of "little Enrico", his future artistic name. Her artist's name is the result of an error by the record company's secretary who misunderstood his name on the phone and calls it "Macias", while Enrico had given him "Nassia" .
Abed Charef, renowned writer and journalist, addresses the painful issue of the Algerian war and recalls that in Constantine for example, militias were formed under the leadership of Maurice Papon, then prefect of the city. In this militia, he quotes Enrico Macias who was part of it and he wants as evidence the many testimonies of characters still alive, Constantinois having known and seen wearing the uniform and the weapon.
